The Point Is That There's plenty of other ways to make HDMI work, be it just one HDMI Port, or some other layout, cause I mean... its a mockup, of what a solution COULD be.
Yes I agree. As I said earlier, to me stacked full size connectors is the way to go.
Totally agree, stacked would make them more robust, & as we already have stacked USB, it would make perfect sense. 8-)

Got to be aware of our cognitive biases. Especially, in this case, false consensus.

There probably isn’t a general clamour for big clumsy connectors, even though it is your personal preference.
So, You still really think im talking about this cause its MY issue? Well, its made for
people... who don't have the money to get everything for the pi 5... and You're gonna say
just get a better laptop... You're ruining the original dream of the Raspberry Pi. most
people have HDMI.

(And don't say get a better case, I have a really good case.)
Of course there are many people, but generally most people don't think about it. After all, I can adapt a HDMI cable down to micro HDMI with a device that costs UK£2. Or buy the entire cable for less than UK£4 for 1M or less than UK£5 for 2M.

No I would never suggest a laptop instead of a Pi. That's like suggesting to someone that they buy a sack of potatoes instead of a crate of beer.

Er, you brought it up.

Threads like this are usually locked because:
a) it's pointless to speculate when or if a new Pi will be released, and what features it may or may not have.
b) your suggestions are literally your own opinion.
c) it's boring watching everyone else speculating, and promoting their opinion, or why everyone else's suggestions are no good.
Oh no, not again.

I think we can take that as an official indication of what RPL are doing on the Pi6.

It would be interesting to have a poll on it though I suspect it would be deleted.

I even know one guy who has a full F1-type simulator with 6 monitors in his room - that's a lot of HDMI cables :D
Student loans for you, they'll pay that back, maybe, by the time they retire (when it gets written off)
Maybe. I co-own some student semi-furnished accommodation so whilst the management company does day to day I do the post-exam, before they leave inspections and it's amazing just how much kit students have nowadays. We used to supply a basic 32 inch TV but they all want 60 inch ones with soundbars so they're left to rent one themselves nowadays. Plenty of places here rent stuff to students - it is the biggest concentration of them in Europe.

Certainly isn't like my days when all we had a Pioneer hi-fi, a Philips cassette recorder and a Sinclair solder it yourself calculator :D

Well. That's incredibly aggressive and uncalled for.

Umm nobody needs to spend $300 (is that US dollars, AU dollars, HK dollars, some other dollars?) list price of the zero2W is USD15.

More uncalled for aggression and snark.

Yes, well the original Pi was released in 2012, so it's older than you.

I think it's bedtime. Someone's getting cranky.

Unacceptable thread direction, closing.

I thought to myself, shall I let this one run a bit to see if things have changed, but hey ho, did exactly what they always do.
